Basecoats to battlefields – Documentary

Explore the intricate art of miniature figure painting through the eyes of Steve Holowienko, owner of The Griffon’s Lair game shop in Erie, Pennsylvania.

For this project, I served as the Production Sound Designer, setting up and managing audio equipment including field recorders and lavalier microphones. I also led a team of audio grips during dialogue recordings. Additionally, I took on the role of tertiary camera operator for select B-roll footage and handled post-production graphic design, creating the title card and end credits.

This project was a lot of fun to work on, as its premise is a topic I’ve grown very fond of over the past decade: tabletop gaming. Being able to highlight the passion and craftsmanship behind this incredible art form was a great experience.
